August Fab Five

August was a roller coaster of a month for me, but I pulled through and I'm glad its over. I'm staying positive and affirming that September will be a better month. Anyway, with a new month, I thought I could share my faves from last month. There are lots of products I really enjoyed but I only want to focus on the products that stand out the most. Let's call this series my Monthly Fab Five.

Let's start with skincare...

This first product is actually a skin care device, the BFF (best face friend) cleansing brush from Holistic Beauties. I've been loving it for a couple months now, not just in August so I had to mention it. I love that it's multi-functional, it has 3 different silicone bristle textures & 15 vibration settings. I use it with my cleansers to cleanse & facial oils for a facial massage. The vibrations feel like a wonderful massage every time I wash my face. Silicone bristles are very gentle on the skin making them ideal for sensitive skin. I have a short video on my Instagram just in case you wanted to see how I use it.

There are two skin care brands in particular that I was really enjoying for the month of August The Healing Place Apothecary  & Z Natural Life.

From Healing Place Apothecary, I really liked a couple products but the one that really stands out is their Daily Balancing Fruit face oil. The oil is lightweight, absorbs nicely into my skin & omgosh the scent is so yummy! This oil contains raspberry oil which is considered to be a natural SPF of 25-50! Pretty cool right? Although this oil has SPF 30, it doesn't replace my mineral SPF but instead acts like a great addition without feeling heavy.

From Z Natural Life, their Energizing Mask was a hit for me. It detoxifies, gently exfoliates, firms & leaves a natural glow on my skin. My skin feels and looks so good after using it, no wonder its called a facial a tube. If you enjoy detoxifying masks that aren't harsh or leave the skin feeling tight then this is a fabulous mask to try. Check out this IG video to see more of this mask.

In the makeup department, I have a few favorites but the ones that I used through the whole month are the Phyto Pigments Juice Boosts from Juice Beauty & the Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks.

The liquid boosts are a multi-purpose product. It can be used on the eyes, lips, face & even body if you like. You can mix into your moisturizers, primers, foundations, etc. They come in two shades, illuminating and bronzing. The illuminating one I use to mix into my EVXO Peek-A-Boo foundation (btw, is one of my holy grail foundations) for a glowy finish. Love that it's not shimmery but pearlescent. The bronzing shade works so well as a subtle bronzer. I also like to mix it with foundations that are a bit light and don't match my skin tone. I find that it adds a bit more color to create a custom shade that works much better for me.

Left to Right: Runway & Cocktail.

Last but not least, the lipstick from Ere Perez. I only have two shades Cocktail & Runway but I'm so impressed with the formula that I need to get more in the future. Cocktail an earthy rose color is the one I use the most because it's a wearable everyday shade. These lipsticks are natural, pigmented, they moisturize & hydrate my lips just enough without feeling slippy. I was only gonna swatch Cocktail because that is the one I most love but I already have a swatch photo of both Cocktail & Runway so that's the one I used, that way you can see what both shades look like. At the moment these lipsticks are only available through the Ere Perez website, I haven't seen any US online retailer carry them yet.

There you have it 5 fabulous vegan products I've been obsessed with during this month and most likely for here on out.

What products did you love this month?

Thanks for stopping!
