A Facial Oil Made From Super Food
Some of you might already know my fascination for oils whether it's a facial oil or body oil, I'm always up to trying a new one. You just never know when you will come across a miracle oil. I know that finding the right oil can be a challenge but it's not impossible. Today I want to share my thoughts on a new oil I have been using. The Amaranth face and body oil from 5Am Provisions has been a luxurious affordable addition to my nightly skincare routine.
First, let's start with what amaranth is, Amaranth is an ancient grain that's fully loaded with nutrients such as protein, minerals, vitamins, essential amino acids and the highest plant source of squalene. Just in case you didn't know some squalene is derived from shark livers, which means sharks are killed to have squalene in luxury products. According to the 5AM Provisions website "An estimation of 6 million sharks a year are being killed for squalene." That is horrible and avoidable when squalene can also be found in plants such as amaranth, rice bran, olives & wheat germ. From what I have read amaranth oil is an amazing all over oil that can be used topically, orally and in your cosmetic products. It's also naturally gluten-free, vegan & cold pressed. I highly recommend reading more about amaranth oil here, or doing your own research. It's always a good idea to do as much research as possible before trying anything new. I was honestly shocked to read about what amaranth is good for and all its amazing benefits for your health, who knew that a grain could do so much.
This post is just to share my experience with amaranth oil using it only as a face oil. I have not yet tried using it on my body, hair nor have I taken it internally. I started using the 5AM Provisions Amaranth Facial Oil a few weeks ago and so far I've had a positive experience.
What I love about this oil is that it absorbs quite easily and doesn't feel super heavy. I prefer using this oil as part of my night skincare routine so that it can sink in all night. The results I have seen so far are, less dry patches on my skin, my skin feels a bit softer and has a glow. Since it contains squalene my skin is more hydrated and moisturized especially when I wake up after applying it the night before. The lysine in amaranth oil is said to help with acne prone skin, which makes me happy because I break out easily, so it's nice to know that when and if I break out I have yet another oil that can help with those issues. I hope to see more results as I use it longer.
Overall I have been enjoying this facial oil and after reading about all of the benefits not just for the skin but the entire body, I can not wait to start taking amaranth oil orally. I was also very pleasantly surprised to know that this bottle of organic amaranth oil runs for only $12.99! Now that's a good deal.
Hope you found this post helpful if you have already tried amaranth in any form whether its the grain, leaves, flour, or oil please let us know your experience.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
